And we’re off! The first grapes of the harvest arrived today at the Quincié site.
On Thursday 27 August, with magnificent sunshine and summer temperatures, the first grapes entered the Cave de Quincié, harvested with care by our winemakers and their pickers.
On first inspection, the grapes are perfectly healthy and show an optimal degree of maturity, leaving no doubt that there will be a 2015 vintage, and promising some great wines yet again…
The harvest should take until 12 September. In the meantime, but also during the long weeks once picking is over, our Master Blenders will watch over and refine our Gamays. These are the people who are entrusted with the task of enhancing the work of the Agamy winemakers and highlighting all the flavour profiles, character and diversity of the grapes right up to the bottling stage, to obtain the full range of Gamay expressions in each Agamy bottle.
